Naald uit Nistelrode, Vorstenbosch

Bronzen naald met platte kop.Disc-headed pin with pointillé. Nistelrode, Gemeente Vorstenbosch, Noord-Brabant. Lower part of shaft is decorated with pointillé. In July 1958 (during ground leveling for the construction of a new road south of the mill in Vorstenbosch) a Hilversum urn with barbed wire decoration was found, standing upright in the ground. When an ROB craftsman arrived on the spot, the hole from which the pot had emerged and which had meanwhile been closed again, was dug out again. Some sherds and a large fragment of a bronze pin were found in the loose soil. The pin was most likely buried with the pot. During a closer examination of the find conditions, a surface of 6 x 22 m was made around the site. No other archaeological finds were made. However, it was established that the site has been in use as arable land for a long time.
